Well folks, another new writer and another great book. As others have said there are a few problems, as with all new writers, publishing themselves. But get past the problems, and this is a great shoot em up SF style, with the potential to be a fantastic series. The storyline and characters need filling out, but I would expect to that happen as the author progresses with the series. Overall this kept me awake and engrossed from the moment I started reading it, and I am really looking forward to the next in the series. To be honest, I was very disappointed to find out there are no follow-on books available yet, so Richard as soon as possible bring us your next books in the series, and if you need somebody to spell check and grammar check for you let me know. Keep writing, you most certainly have potential with your writing.Product details

Beyond Mars Crimson Fleet eBook Richard Risch Reviews
Very enjoyable story. A few places where the spell check / autocorrect bushwhacked the author along the way but the strong plot and action make it an enjoyable ride.
Looks like this book was written in hopes of a movie or TV series. I had fun with it. Not sure it ever made it to print. Clearly spell check was used but I can't believe it was ever proofed. Although words were spelled correctly,, many were misused or just not the right word. A fun read nonetheless.
I liked the story line and thought the author did a good job. There were a few misspelled words or words left out, but nothing of consequence. It kept my attention and was even along the lines of a story that I had imagined. The author did an excellent job.
Orphaned, beaten, half crazy, and yet he has the future of the people of Mars riding on his every move. Earth turns their planet into molten radioactive slag, and sends an armada of cyborg controlled ships after the renegade Martian fleet. Guess they just didn't know who they were messing with...
I truly enjoyed this book! Not only for its rollercoaster thrill ride, but the main character's lineage. Wakinyan is Oglala Lakota, from Crazy Horse's line...I am from Pine Ridge Reservation, 'home' to my tribe, the Oglala Lakota, so imagine my delight in finding this book! Only one thing marred its perfection. No true Lakota warrior would follow a Christian God. It is almost insulting to read about a Native kneeling to an idea that was a driving force behind the genocide of his people. Otherwise, I would recommend this book as a good read.
The writing was amateurish at best. The storyline jumped all over the place. Character development was terrible or non existent for some characters.
Editing and or proofreading was so bad I can only think English was not the primary language of the editor and or proofreader. Spelling, grammar, and usage mistakes were very distracting and were a significant part of the reason I was only able to get through less than one quarter of this book.
The cover art would be more at home on a comic book.
I liked the premise of the story and it was generally OK until about half way through the book which at that point the grammar became gradually worse and the last third of the book was a torture to read. Proofreading would have went so very far in making this book worth considering the reading of the next in the series. I know I am coming across as a grammar Nazi but if you go to the trouble of creating something this involved then why not go the extra step and at least read it before self publishing.
