There have been two great surprises in my life. The first surprise is that I became a teenage drug dealer. The second surprise is that I didn't die one. But, I was stubborn and charming and determined to use those talents to better my family’s life. This book is based on my life. It isn't the whole story, because I am sure that none of the people running with me then would like their identities revealed. So, out of respect for their privacy, or fear of their retaliation, I have changed names and characteristics that would give away the identity of folks who do not wish to be identified. This book is honest even if some of the details here are fictional. And what the honesty of this project has allowed me to see is that not too long ago, I was a bad guy who did very bad things to a lot of people. I wasn't all bad though, and I had my reasons, but it was a dark, dark time and I took a lot of people I loved through it with me, for reasons I am still struggling with. --Jeffrey Wachman

Started to read this book and was not able to put it down until I was completely done, it was that good. I haven't read a book in a long time where I am transported along with the character. With this book I was right along side the character feeling what he was feeling. It is so well written I honestly feel like I was on an adventure along side the character feeling what he felt, seeing what he saw, crying when he was, angry when he was angry. It is a beautiful written story about a boy who sacrificed his life for his family. I am truly in love with this book, have a box of tissues near by when you read, and I hope the author knows that the brightest star is looking down on him, watching over him and very proud of him! started reading and before you know it im almost half way done!! this book is amazing i have followed jeffrey on facebook and thought i would give the book a try. im glad i did it is amazing!!! cant wait to finish it and looking forward to part two!!
Move over Law & Order. Move over 50 Shades of Grey. This book is full of heart pounding & mouth watering suspense. It takes you on a real life journey of an absolute survivor. An incredibly unique story of courage, strength and faith. You won't be the same when finished reading.
This book was an AMAZING story from start to finish!!!! over the course of 2 nights, finding out what happened in the next chapter was all I thought about! A fantastic read and when I was finished....I STILL wanted MORE! I cannot wait for the next one. THIS will make a great movie or an EVEN BETTER A TV series!! Are YOU LISTENING HBO??!!!
I have had the opportunity to get to know Jeffrey through Facebook; and he told me that he had been in the process of writing a book and over the time he was writing he would post small excerpts for people to read and now that I have had a chance to start reading the full finished product it was well worth the wait. I'm only on chapter 5, but with each passing chapter you get a sense of how life was for him; but through the midst of the hardships he faced, he picked himself up and he kept moving forward. So to anyone who wants a really good book to read please pick up a copy you will not be disappointed.
